Eczema on hands

Eczema on hands is a common skin condition around the world. Research shows that there are around 1 in 10 children who may suffer from eczema on the palms. This is somewhat alarming and hence we need to look further into this to minimize, if not fully eliminate the symptoms of eczema. In this article, we will look at the various causes of eczema and ways to reduce your itching and rashes that are caused by eczema directly on the hands.

Eczema is generally found in children especially those at a young age, but this does not mean that adults are immune from it.  There have been cases where some adults have been found who suffer from this very condition. The most dominant symptoms of eczema are itching, rashes and burning. There are also a few minor symptoms that include experiencing tiny bumps and smaller rashes that look more like ringworm.

The most widespread cause of eczema the palms is genetic which means that either or both of your parents suffered from eczema at some point in their lives and if this is the cases, then chances are that you will have eczema as well. Other general causes include hormonal imbalances, type of food and environmental factors amongst others.

Eczema on hands can be very discomforting while embarrassing at the same time. This is because it looks very disfiguring when exposed. Therefore, it is imperative that you try everything in your power to keep eczema under control and especially if you have or the possibility to have eczema on your hands.

You should keep in mind that you must not scratch your skin no matter how terrible the itching is. You will have to endure it for your own good. You will only make matters worse by itching as it could lead to bleeding.

Eczema can make the skin very dry especially when it is on your hands, so try and use a moisturizer at least twice a day. Another great point is that you should stay out of the sun as much as possible. Even if you love to tan your skin in the sun, it is a big no if you suffer from eczema while having it on your hands means that it could be seriously detrimental to your skin.

It is best to keep your skin hydrated and apply loads of honey in the affected area. Follow these points and they would surely benefit you.
